Celebration of The International Day of Women and Girls in Science, 2022

Road Town, Tortola- Joining the worldwide celebration of the 7th Annual International Day for Women and Girls in Science, the Road Town Girls’ Brigade and community partners today (11 February 2022) awarded women and girls computers, software programs, and computer accessories as part of the Brigades’ Access to Technology Project, 2022.[1]

For example, at a short award ceremony this morning (11th February 2022) at Infinite Solutions[2] Computer Store, Jayla Place, Road Town, a 14-year-old, Road Town Girls’ Brigade member, Miss Wendy Thomas, received a brand new,15.6 inch, HP Laptop computer from Mr. Tom Zurich, Managing Director of Infinite Solutions. Other community partners provided girls and women with access to computer software programs such as Microsoft Office and surge protectors.

The Road Town Girls’ Brigade expresses thanks to all the persons and businesses who encouraged girls and women in science in this tangible way.
